I am delighted to announce that I am the winner of the 2018 Liliane Bettencourt "Dialogues" Prize, with the piece Vertex Eidôlon, created in collaboration with the engineer Jérôme Malbrel and the designer Lionel Bourcelot.
« … The speaker system of the 21st century!
The speaker system has been imagined with an unprecedented method, producing musicality both exceptional and immersive. A sculptor specializing in wax, Mona brought her technical skills, refinement, subtlety and precision to find a physical shape for sound. »
Extract from the Fondation Bettencourt press release
This prize allows me to develop more monumental works of art and to pursue projects of a greater scale and scope. Inspired by nature, these new works will be combined into an installation composed of sculpture, video and sound. I look forward to sharing this new work with you.
